Role Summary

The HR Manager is responsible for leading the organization’s human resources function, ensuring effective implementation of HR policies, recruitment strategy, performance management, employee engagement, payroll, and statutory compliance. The role aligns human capital strategies with business objectives to support organizational growth, productivity, and culture development.

Key Responsibilities

HR Strategy & Operations

Develop and implement HR policies, systems, and processes aligned with business objectives
Partner with leadership to plan manpower and staffing requirements across departments
Oversee onboarding, induction, and employee lifecycle management
Maintain HR documentation, employee records, and HRMS accuracy

Recruitment & Talent Management

Supervise and guide recruitment operations and hiring teams
Approve manpower requisitions, job descriptions, and final candidate selections
Drive recruitment for leadership and critical roles
Develop succession planning and career pathing frameworks

Employee Relations & Engagement

Build and maintain a positive, transparent, and inclusive workplace culture
Manage grievance handling, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
Design and execute employee engagement, welfare, and recognition programs
Conduct employee surveys, feedback sessions, and culture initiatives

Performance Management

Drive KPI/KRA-based performance appraisal processes
Train managers on performance evaluation and goal setting
Support performance improvement plans (PIPs) and continuous feedback culture

Payroll, Compliance & HR Administration

Oversee attendance, leave management, and payroll processing
Ensure statutory compliance including PF, ESI, gratuity, and labor regulations
Administer employee benefits, insurance, and exit processes

Learning & Development

Identify organizational training needs and plan L&D initiatives
Track training effectiveness and maintain training records

HR Reporting & Analytics

Prepare HR dashboards and MIS reports (attrition, hiring metrics, engagement scores)
Present HR insights and recommendations to management

Required Skills & Competencies

HR Functional Expertise

Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and statutory compliance
Experience in recruitment strategy, performance management, and HR operations
Familiarity with payroll systems and HRMS platforms

Leadership & Behavioural Skills

Strong leadership and people management capabilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making ability
High confidentiality and professional integrity

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
MBA / PGDM in HR preferred
5–8 years of HR experience with 2+ years in managerial roles
Experience in education / training / service industry preferred
