As a Content Strategist at Elance, you will be responsible for planning, guiding, and optimising content across all digital platforms to drive brand growth, engagement, and performance marketing results. This role requires an experienced professional with a strong agency background, deep understanding of content marketing, and hands-on expertise in copywriting and scripting. You will play a key role in directing writers, refining content outputs, and ensuring that all content is strategically aligned to deliver measurable impact across social media and paid campaigns. Ownership, responsibility, and active team contribution are critical to this role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Strategy & Planning
• Develop and execute end-to-end content strategies aligned with brand goals, campaigns, and performance marketing objectives.
• Plan content across organic and paid channels, ensuring platform-specific relevance and consistency.
• Build structured content calendars and campaign roadmaps.
2. Copywriting & Scripting Expertise
• Write and refine high-impact copies for campaigns, ads, social media, landing pages, and brand communications.
• Script content for videos including ads, reels, testimonials, explainers, and educational formats.
• Ensure clarity, persuasion, and alignment with audience intent.
3. Content Direction & Quality Control
• Guide content writers with clear briefs, tone guidelines, and improvement inputs.
• Review, refine, and instruct revisions to ensure content meets strategic and performance benchmarks.
• Ensure writers implement feedback effectively to achieve the best possible results.
4. Performance Marketing Alignment
• Collaborate closely with the performance marketing team to create content optimised for conversions and lead generation.
• Adapt content based on campaign insights, A/B test results, and performance metrics.
5. AI Exploration & Innovation
• Explore and utilise AI platforms for ideation, scripting, optimisation, and workflow efficiency.
• Stay informed about emerging AI tools relevant to content creation and marketing.
• Suggest AI-driven improvements while maintaining content quality and originality.
6. Collaboration & Team Contribution
• Work closely with design, video, social media, and performance marketing teams to deliver cohesive campaigns.
• Actively contribute to brainstorming sessions, ideation workshops, and campaign reviews.
• Take complete ownership of content-related deliverables.

• Ensure timely delivery of content aligned with campaign timelines.

Required Skills & Experience
• 3–5 years of experience as a Content Strategist or in a similar role (agency experience strongly preferred).
• Strong understanding of content marketing, social media content, and performance driven storytelling.
• Proven expertise in copywriting, scripting, and content optimisation.
• Experience managing writers and refining content outputs through structured feedback.
