Role Overview

As a Video Editor at Elance, you will play a crucial role in shaping and strengthening our brand’s visual narrative. Your primary responsibility will be to edit high-quality video content that aligns with Elance’s brand identity, marketing objectives, and storytelling standards.
This role requires a detail-oriented, creative professional who is efficient, adaptable, and open to experimenting with AI-powered editing tools to enhance productivity and output quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Video Editing

• Edit a wide range of video formats, including:
o Monologue-based ad campaigns
o Engagement and performance ads
o Event and highlights
o Informative and entertaining videos
o Student interactions and testimonials
o Classroom recordings and academic content

2. Collaboration

• Work closely with the Videographer and marketing team to understand requirements and incorporate feedback effectively.
• Coordinate with content and social media teams to ensure timely delivery aligned with publishing schedules.

3. Creativity & Innovation

• Apply creative storytelling techniques to enhance engagement and viewer retention.
• Use graphics, transitions, captions, sound design, and visual effects to improve video quality.
• Actively explore and utilize AI-based video editing tools (for captions, workflows, enhancements, and automation) to improve efficiency and innovation.

4. Brand Alignment & Quality

• Ensure all videos are consistent with Elance’s brand identity, tone, and quality standards.
• Maintain uniformity in visual style across platforms and campaigns.

5. Market Research & Trend Awareness

• Stay updated on the latest video editing trends, formats, platform requirements, and audience preferences.
• Adapt editing styles based on evolving digital and social media trends.

6. Efficiency & Time Management

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Demonstrate strong ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks and deliverables.

7. Quality Control & Revisions

• Review edited videos thoroughly before submission.
• Implement feedback promptly to achieve the desired final output.

Required Skills & Attributes

• Proven experience as a Video Editor (agency or brand-side experience preferred).
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent tools.
• Working knowledge of AI-assisted video editing tools and a willingness to experiment and adapt.
• Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-driven environment.
• Efficient time management and ability to perform under deadlines
